SketchUp system requirements generally include a processor of at least 2+ GHz, 8 GB of RAM, a modern discrete graphics card with 1GB+ of memory, 2 GB of hard disk space, an internet connection for installation and features, and a 3-button mouse. For optimal performance, more RAM (16-32 GB), a faster processor with a high single-threaded score, and a capable graphics card are recommended.

- Single-Core Performance:SketchUp's modeling and drawing processes are single-core and benefit more from a fast single-threaded CPU than from a CPU with many cores.
- GPU for Rendering:While SketchUp itself doesn't heavily rely on the GPU, modern third-party rendering applications used with SketchUp can significantly benefit from a powerful graphics card.
- Mac Users:SketchUp supports recent macOS versions (12, 13, 14). Mac systems generally have processors that exceed the minimum requirements, but more RAM is still the primary factor for performance improvement.
